Step I Look at the pictures, Alanis Morissette ( the Canadian rock singer, has won Grammy Awards for Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance)

Step II Have you ever watched a con cert “live”, on TV or on video? Tell the class about it using the Key Words to help you.(Show some pictures to let the students know what a live concert is.)

Step III Read the concert review and match the four paragraphs with the titles. Paragraph 1 the start of the concert

Paragraph 3 how the audience reacted

Paragraph 4 the end of the concert

Step IV Read the review again and answer these questions

1) Did the reviewer like the concert? Why or why not?

Yes. Because it was the performance of a real star.

2) How did the audience react to the singer?

They enjoyed it very much –they loved the concert.

3) What things about the concert were not very good?

The concert hall was cold and the sound was sometimes poor.

4) From which album were most of the songs?

5) What feelings did she show in her songs?

Anger and love.
