Description of design:

本课是一节以“gift giving”为话题的听说课。根据听说课教学中可理解性输入(听)和可操作性输出(说)的原则,拟以“tell my story”为背景,在听前活动中,通过“I do”环节,激活图式,同时和学生建立融洽关系。在听中活动中,先给出方法指导:边听边对核心关键信息进行记录,完成听力任务。在听力任务完成后,通过复述达到巩固听力的效果。在听后的拓展活动中,拟通过影片的播放,继续巩固目标技能,同时帮助学生认识“gift giving”核心价值观所在。最后,通过“tell my story”环节设置,让学生在情景中运用相关语言知识,进行围绕话题的自主表达,形成综合语言运用能力。

Teaching aims:

1. 语言知识目标:Students can give suggestions by using:

What/How about…? Why don?t you…?

And make comments by using: That?s too…/ That?s not… enough.

2. 语言技能目标:Students can give the suggestions and make comments about gift giving in different ways.

3. 学习策略目标:Students can get the specific information about ?for whom,how,what? while listening.

4. 文化意识目标:Students can learn that the gift giving is different in different countries. 5. 情感态度目标:Students can learn that Some presents are never too small and It’s the

thought that counts.

Teaching method:

Task-based teaching

Module One: Pre-listening

Part 1 Greeting and introduce myself. Part 2 Game “I do”

Help the students get familiar with the new words and expressions. Part 3 Pair work

Help the students review the new expressions.

Module Two: While-listening

Part 4 Listening

Ask the students to listen for specific information and take notes. Part 5 Retelling

Help the students to retell the conversations with the information they got.

Module Three: Poster-listening

Part 6 Brainstorming

Watch the video and share the ideas. Part 7 Listening

Help the students learn that gift giving is different in different countries. Part 8 Free talk

Help the students share their unforgettable experiences of gift giving.
