Unit 1 I want a hot dog, please.

一、教学目标

1、知识目标:能指读运用单词look, cola, dollar, cent, enjoy,careful. 能掌握运用句型What do you want ? I want a hot dog, please. How much is it ? It’s thirteen dollars and twenty-five cents.进行对话交流。

2、能力目标:能用英语来表达如何点餐及询问价钱。

3、情感目标:激发学生的学习热情,了解中西方的饮食文化异同,并进行文明礼仪教育。

二、教学重、难点

1、重点:句型Can I help you ? I want a hot dog , please.

How much is it ? It’s thirteen dollars and twenty-five cents.

2、难点:掌握和熟练运用所学语言知识在快餐店点餐。

三、课前准备

单词卡片、教学光盘、教学课件、带有标价的食物图片和饮料图片。

学生收集或自制的带有标价的食物图片和饮料图片。

四、教学过程

1.出示课件复习所学过的食物单词,并学习新单词cola

Then do this activity in pairs. A:What do you want? B: I want …

3. T:Let’s go to a restaurant and buy something to eat and drink.(课件出示点菜单)

T: This is the ABC Restaurant Menu. Look at the price.学习单词dollar,cent 板书:1 dollar=100 cents

T: I want a hot dog. How much is it? 引导学生说出: It’s…dollards 同样方式多操练几项。

Step Ⅲ Learn the text

播放第二遍录音,学生带着问题听录音并寻找答案。

a. Where are Daming, Simon and Simon’s dad?

b. Is a hot dog really a dog?

c. What does Simon want to eat?

e. What does Simon’s dad want to eat?

f. How much is the meal?

g. What does the waitress say?

录音播放完毕后,允许学生相互讨论问题的答案,然后再请个别学生进行口头表述,教师进行订正。

播放第三次录音。每个句子后停顿后,要求学生进行指读和跟读。

Step IV Practice

Make a fast food restaurant

把讲台布置成快餐店的柜台,并请程度较好的学生来扮演顾客,教师扮演服务员,进行一个简单的表演。最后鼓励学生进行以小组为单位的情景短剧的表演。(设计意图:通过Make a fast food restaurant情景练习活动促使学生在实践中运用所学英语,增强对所学英语的体验,培养学生的合作精神。)A: Can I help you?

用今天所学的语言知识询问家人或朋友想吃些什么、喝些什么,问问买这些食物和饮料要花多少钱,写成一篇小对话。

教学反思:在课文教学中,为学生设置一定的任务,让他们带着任务去听,避免它们听的盲目,也迫使学生认真的听,有效的听。听的时候朗读是为了避免只听不说,让听力训练语口语训练能同步进行。听说结合才能共同达到语言的交际能力。
