课题:Seeing the doctor 教师: 学校: 学生: 单元/课时学习内容分析 教学内容:本课是依托外研版八年级(下) 第4模块Seeing the doctor的话题所设计的。本单元的话题为看医生。本课为听说课,教学内容为医生在给病人看病时的对话。由于教材中Unit 1的对话信息量较小,无法满足学生的需求,因此教师在设计本课时选取了内容与课本对话相似但信息量更为丰富的对话。 课时安排:1课时。 学生基本情况简介 本课的授课对象为初二数学实验班学生,共39人,对英语学习和对与实际生活中联系紧密的话题具有较浓厚的学习兴趣,大部分学生能具有良好的学习习惯,能够积极参与课堂。在语言能力方面,已经具备了一定的与本话题相关的词汇量。在听力理解方面,已经具备在教师的引领下听懂所选的对话大意,获取其主要信息的能力。在口语表达方面,具备能够利用课上所学内容来编相似话题的简单对话的能力。 教学目标 By the end of this lesson, students will be able to 1. understand the dialogue between the doctor and the patient 2. know some words and expressions to describe symptoms of common illnesses 3. understand some instructions and suggestions of the doctor 教学重点和难点 教学重点:描述常见疾病病症的相关词汇以及医患对话中的句型 教学难点:描述常见疾病病症的相关词汇以及医患对话中的句型 教学过程 Stage 1: Lead-in 步骤 时间 step 1 1’ 教学活动 设计意图 To introduce the topic of the lesson T asks Ss to guess one word (ill) with the help of three and raise the Ss interests in learning pictures. the lesson. S: Two or three days. At first, I had running nose and I sneezed a lot. Now it’s stuffed up, and I start to cough. D: Let me have a look at your throat. Please open your mouth and say “Aah”. S: “Aah”. D: Thank you. That will do. Your throat is inflamed. Now, let me take your temperature. Put this thermometer under your armpit and let me feel your pulse. Let me check your lungs and heart. Would you please unbutton your jacket? Thank you. Breathe in and out. Turn around please. S: Is it OK? Do I need an X-ray? D: No, that won’t be necessary. I’d like to have your blood count though. Take this slip to the laboratory, please. … S: Here is the laboratory report. D: Thank you. Your blood count is normal. It’s nothing serious, just a bit of bronchitis. I’ll prescribe three days complete rest. S: Doctor, I’m going to a guided tour tomorrow. I can’t miss it. D: That’s out of question, I’m afraid. You are in no condition to be outside. You must stay in bed. S: I will. Doctor’s orders. D: I will give you an injection to bring down the temperature. Would you like to try some Chinese medicine? S: OK. D: Take the pills twice a day. Once in the morning, once in the evening. Three pills each time. S: Could you give me something to relieve my headache? D: OK. I’ll prescribe some pain killer. Take one when you feel really bad.
