4.2. Data Processing and Prediction system
Fixed sensor data supplemented by floating car data will render a much more accurate traffic image model of the actual, real - time traffic situation in the entire city. A statistics based model shall permit travel time predictions. Adjustment, “fine-tuning or calibration” of model parameters will be performed by analysis of actually measured travel times of the floating cars in operation. The floating cars serve two purposes: ? ? they provide accurate data on the traffic situation; they will permit to calibrate model parameters of a predictive m odel that should yield travel time predictions; this fine-tuning is done simply by comparison of predicted travel times with actually measured travel times (delivered from the floating cars.

4.3. Information Dissemination SystemThe dissemination of information to traffic participants can be performed by various m e a n s : v i a S M S , X M S ( e x t e n d e d S M S ) , v i a r a d i o b r o a d c a s t i n g, v o i c e o r e - m a i l . In o u r c a s e , t h e O R F w i l l i m p l e m e n t t h e i n f o r m a t i o n d i s s e m i n a t i o n s y s t e m w i t h R D STMC. Thanks to advanced technology, the users can listen to traffic information in t h e i r o w n l a n g u a g e . T h e T M C u n i t , t y p i c a l l y a n a d v a n c e d i n- c a r n a v i g a t i o n s y s t e m o r radio, decodes the local traffic information will be received and makes a n n o u n c e m e n t s v i a t h e v e h i c l e ' s l o u d s p e a k e r s o r d i s p l a y s i t o n- s c r e e n .

4.4. In- car/cockpit EquipmentThe standard fleet vehicle is fitted with the standard help4you car security system which offers the following services: ? alarm system with full vehicle security service, slope status signal and vibration sensor; ? automatic connection with the service centre in case of an accident, burglery /theft attempt via GSM; ? a u t o m a t e d m o t o r b l o c k a g e i n c a s e o f a t h e f t A s s i s t a n c e- b u t t o n f o r d i r e c t connectivity to the service centre; ? manual motor blockage by the service centre in case of intervention through the customer ? positioning of the vehicle using GPS 4 Additionally, some cars are equipped with EGNOS sensors, providing integrity information which allows local decision by car equipment whether FCD should be transmitted to TIC (depending on GPS quality).1.
