No Advisable to Hire Cleaners

The issue that six students hired a cleaner to do laundry and cleaning once a week has stirred a heated discussion recently. Some in favor of it hold that doing laundry and cleaning will take up too much of students’ time, while hiring a cleaner offers students a more comfortable living environment. Some dismiss it as a lame excuse and argue that it will bring an even heavier burden to parents. For my part, I strongly believe that hiring cleaners to do laundry and cleaning is not wise and students should do them by themselves. The reasons are mainly as follows: First of all, doing laundry and cleaning dorms together provides students opportunity to strengthen their unity and friendship. With the joy of working for their own surroundings, they can appreciate college life better. In addition, students become more self-reliant by taking care of their own lives. Finally, doing laundry or cleaning dorms is surely an effective way to learn how to arrange schedule property.

To sum up, hiring cleaners is unnecessary. Students shouldn’t rely on others to do laundry and cleaning, otherwise they will be deprived of the opportunity to become independent.
