协 议 书

THIS AGREEMENT , by and between THE BOARD OF THE STATE OF KANSAS

(hereinafter “Board” )700 S. W. Harrison , Suite 1410 Topeka , Kansas 66603-3760 , U.S.A and the China Institute Of Technology , Nankang , Taipei , Taiwan , R.O.C.

本议书由 美国堪萨市州州政府教育执行委员会（以下称委员会），Too S. W. Harrison, Suite 1410 Topeka, Kansas 66603-3760 美 国和中华民国台湾台北市南港中华技术学院双方同意订定

WITNESSETH: 作证如下：

WHEREAS, the Board is authorized by Kansas statutes Annotated 74-3221 to enter into

reciprocal agreements with the governing boards of colleges and universities of other countries for purposes of and relating to the exchange of students; and

WHEREAS ,the parties hereto are mutually desirous of centering into such an agreement with relation to students from China Institute Of Technology and Pittsburg State University (hereinafter ”PSU” );and

WHEREAS, the parties agree that it is to their mutual benefit and interest to set forth the terms of their understanding and agreement in writing;

NOW THEREFORE , in consideration of the above premises and the individual and mutual promises of the parties hereinafter set forth, and for other good and valuable consideration it is hereby agreed by and between the parties hereto:

鉴于委员会依堪萨市州74-3221条款受权与他国大学或学院管理董事会往来互惠 协议以相互交换学生为目的；同时鉴于双方如此意愿建立协议带动中华技术学院及匹芝堡州大学（以

下称”PSU”）学 生关系；同时鉴于此双方同意彼此互惠及互利下制定书面协议条款；因此，顾及以上前题及单方及双方订定前题，同时顾及善意及有价值考虑，双方因此同意如下：

1.That the term of this agreement shall begin on the ______ day of __________ and terminate on the _____ day of ___________; provided, however, that the agreement shall continue thereafter automatically for successive one year terms,

subject, however, to the right of either party at any time to terminate this agreement upon

provision of written notice to the other of intent to terminate the contract within one (1)year from the date of the written notice.

本合约起于8月1日 止于7月31日， 因此提供自动每年连续协议有效。任何一方有权于一年期内以书面告知终止协议。

2.That participating students from both institutions shall pay tuition fees to their home institution and then study at the other institution without further charges for tuition fees. 双方参与学生缴付就读学校学费，于对方学校就读并无需再缴付任何学费。

3.That PSU shall accept not more than _5_ student form ofChinaInstituteOf Technology in the academic year 2002-2003 and a similar number thereafterChina Institute OfTechnology shall in return accept an equivalent number from PSU in the academic year 2002-2003 and thereafter. PSU接受5名中华技术学院学生 并以同样的学生人数于2002～2003赴 中华技术学院就读。

4.Each institution will aim at maintaining a reciprocity in the number of students exchanged each year. In the event the a balanced exchange is not met during an academic year, adjustments will be made in following academic years.

各校将致力保持每年学生人数交换，如未能适切履行，每学年将适当调整。

5.That each institution shall advise the other of the academic requirements for admission to any program, department, school or college in which students will be exchanged. 各校将依各计划，系学校或学院学术资格审查入学，以进行学生交换。

6.That each institution shall help to arrange local accommodations for visiting students; provided, however, that cost of said local accommodations shall be the responsibility of and borne by the visiting students.

各校应辅佐参与学生膳宿安排，而费用学生自理。

7.That each institution shall devise suitable programs of academic instruction for the exchange students and that each institution shall be responsible for any academic credit to be awarded to the students.

各校应引导交换学生选择适当课程，同时应负责承认所修学分。

8.Each university warrants that official transcripts or written assessments of the students’ completed work will be sent to the students’ home university in a prompt and timely manner before the beginning of the next academic term.

各校负责将参与学生成绩单或其它就读时所修得文件，于下学期开始前寄往对方。以兹保存记录。

9.That each institution will require participating students to maintain their ownmedical/health insurance to provide coverage while participating in a student exchange and all students shall be required to provide evidence of such insurance tothe host institution. 各校应要求交换学生投保医疗健康险，并存证以备查询。

10.That each institution shall be responsible for the choice of students participation in the exchange, subject to final approval by the host institution.

各校应负责学生交换参与之提择，并在承办校方最后淮许后执行。

11.That each participating student or his/her institution shall be solely responsible for travel arrangements and the costs thereof.

各校参与学生应自己负责交通安排及费用。

12.That students from each institution studying abroad under this exchange agreement shall be subject to the same rules and regulations as local students. 各校学生协议下附海外研读应遵守原校方原有之规矩。

13.That the exchange of students pursuant to the terms of the agreement shall begin with the fall semester of the 2002-2003 academic year. 本协议交换学生始于2002年 秋季学期。

14.That upon registration, all participating students shall provide the host institution with the name, address and telephone numbers of three individuals who might be contacted in case of an emergency with regard to the students.

注册时所有参与学生应提供承办学校三位联络人名字、地址、电话号码，以备紧急联系学生之用。

15.Each institution should designate an individual and office responsible for receiving written communications about this agreement. Any modification of this agreement shall be in writing and signed by both parties.

各校应指派贵校负责单位和个人以为协议之文件交流及联系，协议文件之任何修饰，应在双方以文字及签署下 认同有效。

16.In the event that any condition, covenant or other provision herein contained is held to be invalid or void by any court of competent jurisdiction, the same shall be deemed severable from the remainder of this Agreement and shall in no way affect any other condition, covenant or other provision herein contained. If such condition, covenant or other provision shall be deemed invalid due to its scope or breadth, such condition, covenant or other provision shall be deemed valid to the extent of the scope or breadth, permitted by law.

事件之任何情况，协议或其化他备文如件有效或无效由司法机构认同。同样地本协议之其它相关文件应视同等效 力，并且在不影响其它条件下，协议书及其化备文因此保留。如此条

件下如协议书或备文因其超越范围或特殊原因，视同无效，否则本协议书及备文都应视有效其范 畴及各项条件在法律监督下淮许执行。

Done in On this day of 2001, in duplication in theand English languages, both texts being equally authenticated.
