Grammar would like的基本用法would like意为“想,想要”,与want意义 相同,但语气更委婉。would like可用于任 何人称,且没有人称和数的变化,肯定句 中would常在主语后面缩写为’d。 肯定句为:主语 + would like … 一般疑问句为:Would + 主语 + like …? 特殊疑问句为:疑问词 + would + 主语 + like …? 其基本用法如下:
1. would like sth. 表示“想要某物”。如: — Would you like a cup of tea? — Yes, please. / No, thanks. 2. would like to do sth. 表示“想要做某事”。 如: — Would you like to go shopping with me? — Yes, I’d like to. / I’d like to, but I have to do my homework. 3. would like sb. to do sth. 表示“想要某人做 某事”。如: Jim would like his friend to help him with his English.
1. What size would you like? size名词, 意思是“尺寸、尺码、大小” 既可以表示物体的大小, 又可以用来表 示服装、鞋帽等
的尺码、号码等。常 以large,简写为L (XL超大号的) , medium简写为M (中号的) , small简 写为S (小号的) 来表示。如:
What size shoes do you wear? 你穿多大的鞋? I wear size 7. 我穿七号的。
2. We have large, medium and small bowls. large与big: big与large都有“大”的含义, 但 big 侧重表示一个物体的块、重量, 含 有“庞大、笨重”之意, 其反义词 是 little。如:
large用来指体积、面积、容积及范 围之大,其反义词是small。如: large family 大家庭 a large man 一个肥胖的人 在口语中big与large可互换,big较 为口语化。
