请大家要把重点放在Interpretation上，关于考试的的Oral Presentation部分相信大家都能通过。

而对Interpretation部分而言，请大家把重点放在以下三方面： ① Vocabulary(vocabulary development and sentence development) ② Listening ③ Note-taking

听力口译七步法介绍

1. Maintain your composure and your confidence;

保持冷静和自信，千万不要因为一处没反应过来而慌了手脚。 2. Make pictures and images;

要学会把抽象的英语文字变成形象的图画反映于脑海之中。

3. Model everything(pronunciation, intonation, tone, slang, idioms, patterns) we heard before; 认真模仿和跟读听力材料中的各种语言点（语音，语调，语气，俚语，习语，句式）→shadow exercise

4. Multiply the meaning and usage of the words and patterns；

大力补充和扩展听力材料中的一些常用词汇和句式的其它含义和用法。 解决虽然能听出来是哪些词，但仍然搞不懂确切含义。

5. Mine the cultural background and the way of English thinking behind the language; 努力挖掘听力语言背后的英语思维模式和英美文化背景。 6. Memorize them;

在充分理解材料的基础上，将它们加以背诵和记忆，以达到脱口而出。 7. Just like a Miracle!

扎扎实实走完以上六步，你会发现自己的听力和口译水平大幅提高，象奇迹一般。

口译中造成漏译和错译的十种主要原因以及建议： 1、笔记贪多贪全

考生往往前面记的很详细，后面来不及，因此翻译出来的东西虎头蛇尾，笔记不宜过多，过多的笔记会干扰对大意的把握，特别是英译汉部分，要学会用符号→suggested symbols for note-taking. 一般来说，口译笔记应记录一些重要的概念，逻辑关系以及一些孤立的，难以记忆的内容，如数字，专有名词等。→建议70%脑记，30%手记； 2、“卡”在生词

一段录音中往往总是有些难词或生词，许多考生就卡住了，没有跳过去听完全文，而继续停留在这一个词上，结果影响了对全文的理解；

例：Beautiful parks and gardens leak into interesting lanes and footpaths, while houses and buildings of old times stand magnificently on the hills of the city. 许多考生卡在 “leak into”，但从上下文，我们可以猜出大概的意思是“到处是”。美丽的公园里到处都有一些趣味盎然的小路。 3、“卡”在长句

口译考试针对的是正式场合的翻译，因此有时句子会很长，有时一段话只是一个句子，平时要注意定语从句和包含分词短的从句的翻译。另外，我们还可以调整语序，总之把意思表达清楚就可以了。 4、不熟悉口音

①注意美音和英音的不同

我国的英语教育基本是采用RP(Received Pronunciation)语音体系，也就是英国音，而上海市口译岗位资格证书考试中的大部分内容采用了GA(General American)体系。

美音和英音在某些方面有较大的差异，如不熟悉其发音现象，在理解中会遇到困难。 例：??it was necessary to plan trips into space several years in advanced. 讲解美音与英音的不同读法，指出在考试时有的同学听成 in a dense,在意思上造成了很大偏差。

这样的词还有： task,chance,advantage,direction.以及冠词“a”的发音，这些在平时的练习中要加以总结，还是有规律可循的。 ② 连读

在口译考试时，不可避免地会听到单词被连读，熟悉连读并且自己也会连读才能听懂别人的连读，这一点可以通过自己快速大声朗读的方式来提高。

例：When conditions are just right, warm, moist air flows in at the bottom of such a disturbance??

“moist air”有的同学听成了“moisture”，忽视了单词的连读。 另外如：close to it→closet

missed connection→misconnection ③爆破音失去爆破

当两个爆破音相遇时，第一个爆破音会失去爆破，也就是我们平时所说的吞音。 例： ??like toilet paper,toothpaste,soap and detergents. ④辨音

在口译考试中，如听到一些同音词或近音词会容易出错。因此，辨别它们就很重要，除了正确掌握单词的发音外，还要通过上下文进行判断。 如： thing, theme,scene fair,fare 等 5、不熟悉听力内容

不熟悉听力内容，就导致思考的时间太长，无法在规定的时间里完成翻译。口译考试相当于小型的口译实战，因些考生要注意观摩和学习口译实例。如：记者招待会或一些英语访谈节目。 6、欠流利

尤其表现在汉译英时，原因是英语不流利，不停地修正自己的发音和用词，以致耽误了时间。

例： 利用 use/take advantage of/utilize/ make use of/avail oneself of 7、词汇量不够

汉译英和英译汉中都会出现因词汇量不够翻译不好，英译汉多表现在“漏译”，英译汉多表现在“死译”，要注意平时的积累，多阅读China Daily, Beijing Review, Shanghai Daily, Shanghai Star, Newsweek对提高词汇大有裨益。→ 好的段落和文章要背诵→举例。 8、心理紧张

很多考生由于心理紧张，连中文都会听错，如“显现”听成“献血”，继而翻译成donate blood.

怎样克服：①平时多做些模考和实考题 ②练习公众演讲 9、多米诺骨牌效应

大部分考生做英译汉第一段时都特别紧张，没听懂原意翻得不好，影响了后面的情绪。注意： 把注意力放在“听懂”而不是“翻译”，这样非常有利于把握大意。 10、“语不惊人死不休”的心理

有些考生程度不错，但口译的时候总想用一些特别优美的词，因此耗费了时间，虽然某个单句译得不错，但由于时间有限，可能后面会造成漏译。

这个句子要注意的几点：

① 不可翻译成welcome Dr.and Mrs.Hill to Shanghai.

② 在称呼一对夫妇时，应用如上表达法，还有如：欢迎布什总统夫妇来访上海 Welcome to Shanghai, President and Mrs. Bush.

③ 在翻译中英、中美、中加等时，应用 Sino-- 表示中国的 但在翻译美中、加中、英中时，不能说 US—Sino 而应该说 US—Chinese.

④ 关于汉语里“副”的翻译：汉语里表示副职的头街一般都冠以“副”字，英译时需视词语的固定搭配表达习惯等情况，可选择用vice, deputy, associate, assistant等词，相对而言，vice的使用面较广。

例： 副总统 vice president 副省长 vice governor 副市长 vice mayor

一般学术头街的“副”职称往往用不同的词来表达，最为常用的英语词是associate. 例： 副教授 associate professor 副研究员 associate research fellow 副主任医师 associate senior doctor

以director表示的职位的副职常以deputy director表示，此外，secretary, mayor, dean等头衔的副职也可以用deputy来表示。

学术头街系列除了含“正”， “副”级别的高级职称和中级职称外，还有初级职称如“助理”， 常用assistant表示。
