The moment he walk towards me my heartfelt detest arise because I don't want his cigarette to harm my health. Due to this, we are unlikely to sit together and communicate with each, not to say we could be friends. However, still many friends play around him, talking about their favorite topics and of course enjoying their cigarettes. If I don't know him but learn that his friends all have cigarettes, then I also can make the assumption that he have(has) the habits as well. Obviously, all my friends don't have cigarettes.

Furthermore, the quality could also be inferred from the friends the person get along with. It is an common sense that kind-hearted persons will not make friends with evil ones. Similarly, a person with ambious(ambitious) aims will not satisfy with the one who hold the belief that leading an ordinary life is enough, what's more, a hardworking student are reluctant to study with a lazy one. So it is a common phenomenon that peoples are good friends who share same values that only setting up a company and making huge amounts of profits is the symbol of success.

Finally, the preferences of the person could also be reckoned from his friends. Because good friends always share the same hobbies. This makes me think of the buildupers(founders) of the most famous company Microsoft, Bill Gates and Helon(Paul Allen), both of them have a favor towards computer technology. Before the setting up of the company, they had always study computer techniques. When Bill Gates had an idea, they make the cooperation took off. Bill Gates is famous all around the world, while Helon may be a little silent. However, I could definitely say that Helon also has a talent on computer skill.
